Whosoever Means YOU !

“…whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

WHOSOEVER MEANS WHOSOEVER –

God is raining down on us today. His Spirit is present with us. And, if you want Him or need Him to rain on you, He will. All you’ve got to do is step out in faith, believe, & call out to Him. Whosoever needs Him gets Him. And whosoever gets Him gets ALL of Him.

This is the core truth that we have been teaching for years.

- We are ALL sinners.

- We are ALL messed up & bound for hell outside of Christ.

- We are ALL unworthy of His free gift of eternal life.

- We are ALL in need of the cleansing that is ours because of His death on the cross.

- We are ALL lost without Christ until we confess that Jesus is Lord & believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead.

WHOSOEVER MEANS WHOSOEVER –

Whosoever needs Him gets Him when they call out to Him, & they get ALL of Him. We don’t just get the things of Christ – WE GET CHRIST! We don’t just get the gifts of the Holy Spirit – WE GET THE HOLY SPIRIT!

Many of us just want God to do some “stuff” for us.

- Just want Him to make things better for us.

- Make our marriage better

- Make our kids better

- Make our jobs better

- Make our bank accounts better

- Make our problems better

- Make our church better

- Make our country better, our economy better

God doesn’t save just part of you. He doesn’t just touch some areas of your life & leave the others alone. He doesn’t just deal with some of your “stuff” & leave the rest of your “stuff” alone. When you call on the name of the Lord to save you, He saves you completely, fully, totally, miraculously, powerfully. He saves ALL of you. He now owns ALL of you. He now loves ALL of you. His grace touches ALL of you. His Spirit envelops ALL of you. That’s for “whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord.”

WHOSOEVER MEANS WHOSOEVER –

- The man & woman who ate some forbidden fruit & lost everything

- The king who lusted after a beautiful woman who was not his wife, had sex with her, conceived a child with her, & had her husband killed

- A wicked city who heard the message of hope from a prophet who had been in the belly of a fish

- The rebellious son who demanded his part of his father’s inheritance, went off to a far country & blew it on gambling & prostitutes

- The vertically-challenged tax-collector who was hated by everyone because of his dishonesty

- The religious leader who came to Jesus in the night wanting to know if He was for real

- The disciple who cursed & denied Jesus

- The paralytic sitting at the door to the temple begging for money when 2 apostles walked by

- The man who was persecuting the Church & was on the way to continue his persecution when He encountered Christ

- A thief hanging on a cross next to His Saviour

WHOSOEVER MEANS WHOSOEVER

- An 8 year old boy at  junior school

- A little girl sitting in her daddy’s lap

- An adult man who, as a result of his father’s death, realizes that he’s not saved

- A teenager at on the street

- A senior adult in the waning years of their life

- An African-American teenager at a pizza party

WHOSOEVER MEANS WHOSOEVER

- An African-American gang member living in the inner city

- An affluent family living in the suburbs

- A middle-income family living in the sticks

- An army veteran

- A flag-burning protester

- A homeless guy walking the streets & living in the rescue mission

- The Queen of England living in Buckingham Palace

- An illegal immigrant

- A prostitute working on a street corner

- A businessman working in a high-rise office building

- An unwed mother

- A soccer mum driving an SUV

WHOSOEVER MEANS WHOSOEVER

- The crack addict

- The porn addict

- The food addict

- The alcohol addict

- The sex addict

- The TV addict

- The popularity addict

WHOSOEVER MEANS WHOSOEVER

- The man who is sitting in a hotel room right now with a gun in his hand wondering why his life is so screwed up

- The woman who is sitting in her kitchen right now wondering why her husband left her

- The teenager sitting in his bedroom right now wondering why so many other teenagers make fun of him all the time

- The senior adult widow sitting on her porch right now wondering why her kids never call or come by

- The girl sitting in her aparment right now reliving the day she had an abortion

WHOSOEVER MEANS WHOSOEVER

- The abused wife; The husband who abuses her

- The family whose son was murdered; The murderer

- The wife whose husband was killed in action in Iraq; The terrorist who killed him

- The person who has been led astray by a false teacher; The false teacher

WHOSOEVER MEANS WHOSOEVER

- The Baptist

- The Methodist

- The Presbyterian

- The Pentecostal

- The Lutheran

- The Episcopalian

- The Catholic

- The Jew

- The Muslim

- The Buddhist

-The Hindu

- The agnostic

- The atheist

WHOSOEVER MEANS WHOSOEVER

- The cheater, liar, gossiper, murderer, coveter, adulterer, homosexual

- The prideful, arrogant, spiteful, rebellious

- The one who spreads seeds of dissension in the church, the one who refuses to reconcile with someone else, the one who is being eaten up with bitterness & unforgiveness

- The good person, the upstanding citizen, the award-winning athlete, the smartest scholar, the talented musician, the Hollywood star, the humble, behind-the-scenes, unassuming person

- The quiet one who lets people run over them; the loud one who runs over everybody

WHOSOEVER MEANS WHOSOEVER
