I am also from an amazing musical family and there hasn’t been a period of time where music and singing hasn’t been a part of my life. I started to get involved in worship at the age of 10 in my church youth band and in my early teenage years I began to lead songs and sing harmonies as part of the main worship band, which I loved. As I got older, there was a short time where I drifted away from church and did my own thing. I always kept God in my heart, however, I put barriers up, wasn’t living right, stopped myself going to church and my faith was little… but I never let him go.

I then found Renovate Life Church through my family, and was asked to sing the special item one evening. The song I chose was ‘Lead me to the Cross’ and when I sung the lyrics, ‘lead me to your heart’, he did. I broke down on stage and cried. God did something in me that night which I can’t describe. I knew the barriers needed to come down and I needed to get back involved with church, so I did, and made Renovate my home. Shortly after, I got back into worship. It has been a hard, yet humbling journey for me, however, I know God has got it all under control.

As well as singing, Jesus Christ is my passion in life. I want to bless and impact lives, lead people into God’s amazing holy presence, see people set free and lives turned around through Him. And I am so, so blessed to have the opportunity to get to know new people and lead you and help you go deeper on your own journey.

There is no one like our Mam,

Virtuous woman, faithful friend.

Giving comfort and wisdom,

On her you could depend.

No formal education,

But a Graduate in life.

With her healing balm,

She’d soothe away your strife.

Gentle yet firm,

Your attention she’d command.

She was no pushover,

On her principals she’d stand.

Generosity her trademark,

Hard worker through and through.

Fought through pain and hardship,

So her family wouldn’t have to.

She knew what she wanted,

And would never be fobbed off.

The world evolved around her,

So get use to it and laugh.

Her voice resounding

Michael, Danny, Mary, Frank.

When only wanting me,

Memories, so much to thank.

A chaplain to the sick,

Wrote to those in prison,

Opened up her home,

By God’s heart, truly driven.

Loved the opera and Ballet,

TV and Music brought her joy,

Boxing and the tennis,

And Man United boy oh boy!

Letters to her Mammy,

A five pound postal order went,

All her charitable donations,

Perfumed by heaven’s scent.

Devoted to her family,

In every way on Earth,

Left the message of hope,

So they experience new birth.

She loved her Lord,

With all her heart.

Shared him with everyone,

His abundant life to impart.

No not just unforgettable

Her mark is indelible

Our beautiful mother

Her life was so incredible

We’ve been blessed

By a wonderful mother.

To Mike, Dan, frank, Mary and me

There is no other.

To live is a privilege

To love is such an art.

Our Mam mastered it,

Liquid love flowed from her heart.

A big thank you to you all,

For your strategic part,

In loving our Mam,

From the bottom of our heart.

But now she’s been released,

Into her Savior’s hand.

Embraced by our Dad,

United in Heavens land.

Say aurevoir,

Not goodbye.

You see our Mam,

Will never really die.

An ode to Josh Hocking on his 17^th Birthday.

Yes! it’s our birthday boy,

Today he’s so full of joy.

Permission granted to drive a car,

Yes you bet, he’s gonna go far!

Cars, he takes them all to bits,

And magically mends builds and fits.

He’ll earn more than a bob or two,

With his expertise they’ll form a queue.

Definitely an entrepreneur in style,

His gifting stands out more than a mile.

Yet, generous, kind and giving,

Our Josh, will make more than a living.

He definitely thinks things through,

And through wisdom knows just what to do.

He’ll keep his head when things go wrong,

With other,  steps in with time-out gong.

It’s a privilege to know this amazing guy,

Who at first can seem a little shy.

Yet, great strength of character within,

And knows how to take things on the chin.

He’ll lead in quiet strength,

And go to extraordinary lengths.

To make our world a better place,

For men and women of every race.

Now all that’s left for me to say,

All of this gut wrenching emotional pain

Is such an incredible physical drain

And most of it starts in the mind

And is merciless and wickedly unkind.

It makes me continuously unable

To live life to the max and stable.

I’m not prepared to take the strain,

Of my life lived in emotional pain.

I’ll take control of the things I think,

And make sure that not one of them stinks,

And replace them with all positive things,

That will cause my heart to dance and sing.

You say that sounds too easy, and will it really work?

All I can say is try it, and you’ll release the cork,

And live a life of phenomenal gain,

No more controlled by emotional pain.
